Dermal filler / hyaluronic acid filler is anatomically planned for volume, contour, proportion and selected deeper lines. Swelling is expected in the first days, with a more balanced review usually at 1-2 weeks.

Preparation
- About 4 weeks before, prepare your prior-procedure history and a medication/supplement list.
- Two weeks before, protect the skin barrier and avoid starting strong new active products.
- Generally leave at least 2 weeks between invasive dental work (extraction, implant, root canal, abscess) and filler; share your dental history.
- Report fever, active cold sore, skin infection or open wound before the appointment.
- Disclose blood thinners, immunosuppressive treatment and serious allergy history; do not stop medication on your own.
- Needle-free pressure pens are outside the safe approach because of uncontrolled tissue damage, infection and vascular risk.
Treatment day
- The day proceeds with a brief health update, area review, photography/marking if needed, informed consent and treatment.
- Needle or cannula entry, pressure, fullness and short stinging may occur; comfort varies by area.
- Report sharp, increasing or unmanageable pain, dizziness, or vision/breathing symptoms immediately.
- Before leaving, normal symptoms, warning signs and the contact route should be clear.
Recovery timeline
- First hours: Marked swelling can be normal for the first 2-3 days, especially around the lips and eyes; a gentle cold compress without pressing can be used in short intervals.
- 0-24 hours: Swelling, soreness and fullness can occur; avoid excess heat and unnecessary massage.
- 2-7 days: Bruising and swelling usually trend down, varying by area.
- 1-2 weeks: A more balanced early review is possible.
- 4+ weeks: In some areas, tissue integration or revision can be discussed at examination.
- Do not massage the filler area without instruction; follow the physician's plan.
Warning signs — when to call
- Severe increasing pain, skin blanching or a purple net-like pattern and cold skin are urgent vascular-occlusion signs.
- Vision change, sudden headache or a neurological symptom requires emergency medical assessment.
- Signs of a serious allergic reaction require emergency care.
- Call the clinic for increasing pain, marked asymmetry, infection signs or firmness.
- For serious symptoms, do not wait only for a message reply.
