Preparation
- About 4 weeks before, prepare your prior-procedure history and a medication/supplement list.
- Two weeks before, protect the skin barrier and avoid starting strong new active products.
- Ask at consultation for the ingredient's name, form, sterile packaging and lot/expiry information.
- Unclear, hand-mixed or fat-dissolving 'cocktail' claims are outside the safe approach.
- Disclose your allergy history, prior injection reactions and blood-thinner use.
- Treatment is postponed with active skin or scalp infection; report fever, cold sore or open wound.
Treatment day
- The day proceeds with a brief health update, area review, informed consent and treatment.
- Multiple small needle pricks, stinging, pressure or short soreness may occur; area and ingredients affect comfort.
- Report sharp, increasing or unmanageable pain, dizziness, or vision/breathing symptoms immediately.
- Before leaving, normal symptoms, warning signs and the contact route should be clear.
Recovery timeline
- First hours: Small papules (bumps) can form at the injection points; these usually settle on their own within 24-48 hours.
- Do not rub, squeeze or firmly massage the papules; picking can disturb product distribution and raise infection risk.
- 2-7 days: Bruising, soreness and itching should settle.
- 2-4 weeks: The skin or scalp target is reviewed per the personal plan; one-session miracle expectations are inappropriate.
- In hair mesotherapy, temporary shedding after the first 1-2 sessions can relate to the telogen cycle and should not interrupt the protocol.
- Avoid excess heat, sauna, steam rooms and tanning beds; maintain sun protection.
Warning signs — when to call
- A widespread allergic reaction, breathing difficulty or rapidly increasing swelling requires emergency medical assessment.
- Fever, pus, spreading redness or severe pain requires emergency care.
- Call the clinic for a painful purple/red nodule, draining bump or non-healing wound appearing within 1-4 weeks.
- Spreading redness, firm nodules or worsening itching should be assessed.
- Mild pinpoint redness and settling papules are usually reassuring; do not treat an increasing symptom as normal.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Are the bumps at the injection points normal?
- Yes; small bead-like papules can be expected and usually settle on their own within 24-48 hours as the product absorbs.
- How many sessions are needed?
- Session number depends on the ingredient, goal and skin response; continuation is decided by assessment.
- Does mesotherapy dissolve fat?
- It is not a fat-dissolving miracle or a liposuction alternative; unclear, fat-dissolving 'cocktail' formulas are outside the safety scope.
- How do I know the ingredient is safe?
- The ingredient's name, form, sterile packaging, lot/expiry detail and official compliance status should be clearly shared.
