Different botulinum toxin type A formulations (Onabotulinumtoxin A, Incobotulinumtoxin A, Abobotulinumtoxin A, Prabotulinumtoxin A) share the same core mechanism of action, but they differ in molecular weight, the presence or absence of complexing proteins, diffusion tendency, dose-conversion ratios and onset of action. For example, Incobotulinumtoxin A is sometimes described as the "naked toxin": stripped of complexing proteins, with a theoretically lower risk of antibody formation. Abobotulinumtoxin A typically uses a 1:2.5 - 1:3 dose ratio. In practice, what matters more than the brand for an experienced injector is how the dose is calibrated and placed. Excellent results are achievable with several brands; the choice is made for the patient, the region and the injector’s experience.

The cross-linking technology of HA mbushes directly influences longevity, kinetic compatibility and tissue integration. BDDE (1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether) is the most widely used cross-linker and underpins most HA lines. VYCROSS technology cross-links low and high molecular-weight HA chains together for longer duration and a more natural integration, used in the Juvederm Vycross range (Voluma, Volift, Volbella). IPN-Like (Stylage) and NASHA (classic Restylane) take different approaches. In practice these differences inform whether a softer, more dynamic product or a firmer, higher-G' product is required for a given region. For the patient, the most important point is not the brand name but whether the chosen product matches the indication.

Hyaluronidase is an enzymatic antidote that dissolves HA mbushes. It is used in emergencies such as malpositioned mbushes, overfilling, nodules, delayed-onset reactions and, most importantly, vascular occlusion — where rapid administration within the "golden hour" is critical. For this reason, any clinic performing HA mbushes should keep an adequate supply of hyaluronidase as part of its emergency protocol; this is a basic ethical standard. Dose is titrated to the mbushes type and the problem; some protocols recommend a skin test due to allergy risk. Hyaluronidase does not dissolve biostimulator mbushes (CaHA, PLLA, PCL), which is why product selection at the planning stage is critical.

Both molecules are biostimulator mbushes, providing immediate volume plus stimulation of collagen and elastin neogenesis. PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid, Sculptra) dissolves in water as fine particles, onset is slow (2-4 months) and durability averages around 2 years; it is favoured for broad, soft volume needs (cheeks, temples, décolletage). CaHA (calcium hydroxylapatite, Radiesse) is higher viscosity and gives faster contour, performing well in regions where structural support is needed (jawline, chin, décolletage, dorsum of the hand). The decision is based on region, the preferred trade-off between fast contour and slow soft volume, and the patient’s skin thickness — a consultation is essential.

PRP (platelet-rich plasma), PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) and newer exosome- and polynucleotide-based biostimulators are used for skin riperteritje, hair loss management, post-procedural healing and collagen stimulation. PRP / PRF are autologous (derived from the patient’s own blood), giving an excellent safety profile. Exosomes and polynucleotides are exogenous and their regulatory status can differ by country. Patient expectations need to be realistic — these products do not create volumetric change, they support skin quality and cellular renewal. Rezultatet typically develop over 2-3 sessions and become visible within 3-6 months. Candidate selection, product authenticity and application protocol are key variables; an in-person consultation is essential.
