Preparation
Stop retinol and exfoliating products 1 week before. Postpone if there is an active herpes/acne infection. A topical anesthetic cream is applied 30-45 minutes prior.
Follow-up Care
Redness and mild sensitivity in the first 24-48 hours are normal. Sun protection and moisturizing are advised for 3-5 days. A course of 3 sessions, 3-4 weeks apart, is usually planned.
How It Is Performed
After topical anesthesia, the handpiece touches the skin with insulated gold-plated needles at an adjustable depth. When the needles reach the target depth, RF energy is delivered from their tips, triggering collagen production in the deep layer while protecting the surface.

For atrophic (depressed) acne scars, gold needle is one of the most effective options. A course of about 3 sessions usually gives marked improvement; very deep scars may need a combination.
